Mormonism is a religion that has its own set of beliefs and practices. Mormons generally follow a strict code of conduct, including abstaining from certain activities that are not considered to be in line with their faith. One of these activities is drinking coffee and other caffeinated beverages.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), the main organization that makes up Mormonism, officially prohibits the consumption of coffee and tea. While there is no explicit ban on other caffeinated beverages, Mormons are strongly discouraged from drinking them as well. This includes soda, energy drinks, and other caffeinated beverages.

Mormons are encouraged to abstain from consuming caffeine as part of their religious beliefs. Caffeine is believed to be addictive and can lead to a decrease in mental clarity and physical health over time. Additionally, many Mormons believe that they should only consume things that will nourish their bodies and minds; caffeine does not fit into this belief system.

Though Mormons do not drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks, they can still find ways to enjoy caffeine without breaking their beliefs. Decaffeinated coffee or tea is an acceptable alternative for those who miss the taste and ritual associated with regular coffee or tea without breaking any rules. Additionally, many Mormons opt for herbal teas or carbonated beverages with no caffeine content.
